Mohamed al-Arifi, an influential Saudi religious scholar and professor at King Saud University, has thrown a bombshell by claiming that al-Qaeda â€œdoes not tolerate bloodshedâ€ and that it was victimized by attributing to it a bad ideology.

During a recent television interview, he went as far as claiming that the late Osama Bin Laden (who he referred to as "Sheikh Osama" and prayed for his soul to be blessed) was a victim of wide-level character assassination.

Arifi, known for his often controversial statements and fatwas such as the one calling for daughters not to wear revealing clothes in the presence of their fathers, was answering questions on the Qatari state-owned Al Jazeera television this week about the French intervention in Mali.

Aw Socialists want so badly to believe that there is no such thing as an Islamic Jihadist, that they are just another well-meaning, unfairly persecuted peace-loving group persistently smeared and otherwise beset upon by Western Christian Capitalists. Even as Socialists themselves unfairly persistently smear and otherwise beset upon and persecute that diverse and unquestionably peace-loving group, the defenders of Western Christian Capitalist and American Constitutioonal values, the American Tea Party.

...the bottom line, and the reason that Christians are targeted as "radical" and a "threat" is that they are the main opponent to the left's agenda, communism. If the left succeeds in minimizing and neutralizing them, the rest will buckle and succumb. It's why we always see the "big guys" as the target of leftist's Alinsky style boycotts and media assassination. Take the biggest guy down, and the rest will cower and fall into line. The Muslim agenda and the left's agenda go hand in hand in bringing down American Capitalism.

Osama had no authority to speak for Islamic doctrine for he had not been accepted or become part of the religious clergy. He did express his personal opinion that the 9/11 attacks violated Islamic law and that he had no part in it. This claim has never been disproved by any government or others. He was never accused of it by the FBI or other official American agency. The claims he was responsible were propaganda.

Maybe you would go to Saudi Arabia and speak to those Sunni religious leaders like the Wahhabis and let me know what their view on Osama Bin Laden is in the religious aspects of his life. I sure as hell don’t know, therefore I believe what they say unless that is countered by some other Sunni religious dude and not a Shi’a like you.
