Van Jones, "Obama’s Green Jobs Czar" turns out to be a 9/11 Truther, in addition to having a fair number of really left wing views, and yet the Obama WH and Personnel Office saw no problems with him. This is: (1) a window on Obama’s true world views , and those of his supporters (in this case Jones’ buddy Valerie Jarret from Chicago) – which are incredibly radical, (see Wright, Rev.); and/or (2) a window on their competence — how could they possibly think that a guy who signed a truther petition ("investigate whether Bush/Chaney caused 9/11") could exercise serious Article II? He will be gone in a few days — how many more of his ilk are inhabiting the executive branch, and WTF are they doing?

I agree in principle, but quick executions are so much more effective in affecting behavior -- compared to executions that occur after ten years of legal twists and turns. Swift justice and fewer lawyers, but good luck getting that enacted. |
